Coverall 77 

An off-white, low fluoride exothermic drossing flux for treating aluminium alloys.

 

Function

Coverall 77 is used for drossing off crucible and reverberatory furnaces where the aluminium alloy is held at a wide range of temperatures  (710øC - 780øC).

Coverall 77 is a low fluoride product, producing exceptionally low levels of fume in operation.

 

Recommended application

Sprinkle a small quantity of the flux (0.25% - 0.5% by weight of metal charged) onto the surface of the melt and rabble in thoroughly for 1 - 2 minutes, until the dross is glowing. Then, either remove the dry powdery dross or push it to the back of the crucible before casting.
